Day 1:

On arrival to Puerto Maldonado, reception and transfer to the main harbour, where you will board the boat to the lodge, journeying up the Tambopata river for approximately two hours. The vegetation will change all along this trip and the primary jungle will give way to secondary jungle. On arrival, welcome cocktail to cool down and meet the staff and a short visit of the lodge installations. Lunch. In the afternoon, visit to local community experience the daily life of people who live in the jungle. Return to Lodge, dinner and evening excursion to observe the nocturnal animals or insects, with their particularly shinny eyes. (L-D)

Day 2:

Trip to the Kolpa Colorado. After an early breakfast, you will board your boat for your four and a half hour journey up river, taking you into the Tambopata National Reserve and the kolpa, which is regarded as the largest in the world. Lunch and after you will explore the network of trails around this area, latter in the afternoon you will prepare your camp site on the beach near the kolpa, evening Dinner. Overnight (Camp). Day 3:

It is recommended that you get up early to have breakfast so that you arrive at the kolpa before the birds do and can observe the fairytale-like show arrival. They will come to find a special clay lick that contains salts and minerals, on average several hundreds of parrots and aras visit the kolpa on a daily basis. Some are red, others are blue, yellow, red and green, with a brown forehead or a blue head. This kolpa is considered to be one of the biggest in the world. At the end of the morning, trek into the forest look for the 9 species of monkeys that live in this region. Lunch on board and journey back down the river to the lodge. Dinner. In the evening, travel by canoe to look for caimans, capybaras and other types of nocturnal animals along the Tambopata river. Overnight. (B-L-D)

Day 4:

Early morning rise and experience sunrise, as you travel down river, the titis and howler monkeys will be giving their early morning shouts, which will accompany you all the way to Pto Maldonado. Transfer to local airport. (B)
