Carnival of Cajamarca 3D / 2N

Day 01:

On arrival to Cajamarca transfer to hotel. Welcome lunch. In the afternoon City  tour, visit the principle square known as the plaza de Armas, the Cathedral and the Carnavalón statue. Return to hotel. In the evening the great mask ball. (B-L)

Day 02:

Breakfast and visit the pre Inca burial site, 8 Km from Cajamarca, hundreds of crypts in the shape of small windows, carved into volcanic rock. Continue to the Tres Molinos Hacienda, famous for its breeding of fine dairy cattle, hydrangea garden and the Peruvian Paso Horses. The tour is highlighted by a visit to the Fundo Los Alpes for a taste of fine cheese and sweet milk. Return to hotel to relax. In the afternoon join the Carnival, with its beautiful shows, costumes street dancing and the “unsha” (a dancing tree feast with gifts in each branch which are finally cut down) Return to the hotel and overnight. (B)

Day 03:

Breakfast and in the morning, the Carnival Queen parade accompanied by groups of costumed dancers. In the afternoon, transfer to the local airport or bus station. (B)
